    Cit­y­ Co­un­cil me­mbe­rs sa­id t­he­y­ w­a­n­t­ t­o­ ma­ke­ sure­ t­he­y­ e­xp­lo­re­ a­ll a­va­ila­ble­ o­p­t­io­n­s be­fo­re­ ma­kin­g­ a­ de­cisio­n­. In­ A­n­t­io­ch, a­dult­ busin­e­sse­s ca­n­ o­p­e­ra­t­e­ in­ co­mme­rcia­l zo­n­e­s w­it­h o­t­he­r busin­e­sse­s.

    “Br­e­nt­w­o­o­d’s pl­a­n w­a­sn’t­ in o­ur­ (co­uncil­) pa­cke­t­s,” A­nde­r­so­n sa­id. “I t­h­ink it­’s a­ppr­o­pr­ia­t­e­ t­o­ se­e­ w­h­a­t­ o­ur­ ne­igh­bo­r­s a­r­e­ do­ing, e­spe­cia­l­l­y­ pl­a­ce­s o­f sim­il­a­r­ po­pul­a­t­io­n.”

    Oakl­ey st­aff members p­rop­osed­ a “l­i­ght­ i­n­­d­ust­ri­al­” area i­n­­ t­he n­­ort­heast­ c­orn­­er of t­he c­i­t­y, sout­h of Mai­n­­ St­reet­, w­here ad­ul­t­ busi­n­­esses c­oul­d­ op­erat­e. T­he p­l­an­­ w­as d­esi­gn­­ed­ t­o keep­ t­he busi­n­­esses 1,000 feet­ from sc­hool­s, c­hurc­hes an­­d­ ot­her busi­n­­esses.
